Why should suppliers get involved?

If you operate in the buoyant North of Scotland wedding industry you will be aware of the high standards expected. Being involved as a finalist or winner shows your prospective clients that you take that responsibility seriously. You can only be named as a Top Tier level supplier if previous couples considered you to be one of the best three suppliers they used on their big day. Although it is obviously fantastic to be a winner in your category your main  aim should always be to be a finalist on a regular basis. This shows potential wedding couples that you consistently provide a high level of service. 

How can I register?

Should your wedding venue or business wish to become involved in the Top Tier Awards the first step is to register your business by completing the form at the foot of this page. Over 650 North of Scotland wedding related businesses have already done so and you only need to do it once. However before you do we would suggest you have a look at a selection of questions & answers to get a feel for the process. Unlike some other wedding awards you are NOT charged a fee to register!

How can I start receiving votes and be involved?

As soon as you receive one single vote you are involved! However no votes will be lost if you have not registered. By registering below you simply ensure that we have your correct details and we can keep you informed on the progress of the awards and  any relevant wedding related news.

Suppliers please note – your business is NEVER too small to be a finalist or winner!

Suppliers should not be put off entering if they feel their business is too small. The Top Tier Awards has absolutely nothing to do with the size of your business. The bride OR the groom are asked to vote for the three suppliers they felt gave them the best service on their big day.

They are not asked to vote for the biggest, the best known, the best in any category or the longest established. Only the happy couple are entitled to vote and decide which suppliers progress to the next stage. If the competitors in your category carry out more weddings than you it does not automatically mean they will have an advantage. Top Tier votes are based on quality of service and we only accept the opinion of the two most important two people! A competitor may be many times larger than you but if their quality of service is not as high as yours, you will receive more votes! It is perfectly normal for a one man or woman  business to receive a higher level from a particular bride & groom. Have a look at some of the comments below and see for yourself.

Twisted Willow – Florist of the Year 

Owner Caroline Holmes said ; I didn’t really believe I’d won at first, I was thinking to myself ‘Did I just hear my name read out?’ then I saw it up on the screen. It didn’t seem real at the time, it was a kind of out of body experience. I was just going to go along and see what happened. I thought being in the top nine florists in the north was an achievement in itself. It was totally unexpected, the other eight florists in the category were brilliant, which makes it all the more special to win.

The fact that it is only my brides who can vote for me adds an extra dimension to the Top Tier, it is so extra special. The award seen a bounce added to her already flourishing business. I’ve already had a lot of bride enquiries since I won it.

I think when you win something like this it makes people trust you much more, it’s even stronger than word of mouth. Getting nominated makes a huge difference, you find you get shared on social media more so it all helps. I could not be more please to have won the award for a second time.

Paul T – Evening Entertainer of the Year

It was such a strong category – I was the only DJ nominated, the rest were all bands – I was actually just going along for the night out and the chance to catch up with friends I hadn’t seen for a while.

The nominations were all read out and when I was announced as the winner I thought ‘Oh, my goodness!’ and jumped to my feet. A huge roar went up, which really brought a tear to my eye. All the other suppliers were grabbing my hand and congratulating me as I was walking to the podium to receive my award.

Top Tier has exceeded my wildest dreams. It’s all the more special to know that I’ve won this award thanks to couples I’ve worked with. I did not have to wait long for this triumph to have a positive impact on my business. My social media just blew up after I won. I’ve got lots of new followers and within 24 hours I was getting enquiries, I’ve got bookings through to 2026

Thistle Catering – Outside Caterer of the Year 

We are immensely proud to have won this award, particularly given we won as a result of the  wedding couples, married in Grampian, that we have worked alongside throughout their wedding journey over the past few years of planning.

Winning this has given our team a spring in their step…..it’s such a lovely thank you for all the hard work that goes on front of house and behind the scenes.  We feel very much appreciated and loved, and  are already benefiting from the media attention through enquiries and bookings.
